Recognizing the growing need for more personalized health and wellness services in Western Iowa, Pottawattamie County Sports & Family (PCSF) Chiropractic has expanded its clinic to serve patients in Council Bluffs and the surrounding areas.
Nate Wiechmann, D.C., owner of PCSF Chiropractic, now sees patients part time at Strada Healthcare’s Council Bluffs office (928 Valley View Drive, Suite 1) and at his Oakland clinic (101 N. Main Street, Suite 3). Although he offices out of the Council Bluffs clinic three days a week, Dr. Wiechmann is an independent contractor and accept most major insurance plans as well as cash-pay patients.
“We saw an opportunity to make personalized chiropractic care and wellness services more accessible in our area,” says Dr. Wiechmann. “By expanding our practice to serve patients at Strada Healthcare’s Council Bluffs office, we’re excited to fill this need in our local community.”
Originally from Stilwell, Kan., Dr. Wiechmann grew up helping on his family farm near Atlantic, Iowa. With strong family ties to the area, he returned to Western Iowa after college and opened PCSF Chiropractic in Oakland in 2016. Three years later, he expanded his practice into Council Bluffs.
“I think it’s important to give back to the community that’s given so much to my family,” says Dr. Wiechmann, who often spends his free time helping on the family farm. “Many of my patients already drive to Council Bluffs for work or to run errands, so expanding my practice to serve patients in multiple locations just felt like a natural progression.”
As a board-certified chiropractor and former collegiate athlete, Dr. Wiechmann understands the physical demands that are required to live a healthy lifestyle. In addition to chiropractic manipulation, he specializes in soft tissue therapy, sports medicine, nutritional counseling, dry needling, cupping therapy and rehabilitative taping. He also offers discounted sports physicals for student athletes and Class IV K Laser Therapy for pain and inflammation relief.
“We’re starting to see greater emphasis on keeping people healthy, as opposed to the traditional focus on simply treating illnesses and injuries with drugs or surgery,” says Dr. Wiechmann. “Through a combination of manual therapies and advice on diet, exercise and positive lifestyle choices, we help patients get on the road toward better overall health.”
PCSF Chiropractic’s Council Bluffs clinic is open Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Oakland clinic is open on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
